Hello everybody, last Tuesday the Fremont City Council unanimously approved the plan to build a skateboard park next to the Waterpark on Paseo Padre. The residents of the nearby area have been working with the city trying to change the site of the skatepark, placing it in a location that is better for the skaters and where the impact on residences could be minimized. FREMONT SKATEBOARD PARK

The City of Fremont is planning to build a permanent skateboard park right next to the Waterpark, where the lagoon was. The project is going to cost more than $ 2,000,000 and will serve a very small share of the Fremont population. I think that the money would be better spent on improvements to the teen center or the library where all of Fremont's teens would benefit.
