Fremont Planning commission needs diversity in thought and opinion

I attended the 3/12/09 planning commission meeting in an attempt to be more participatory in the civic process. It was a 2hr meeting. I left after an hour because the discussion lacked any intelligence whatsoever. My conclusion after sitting through one business application that took a full hour:1. The commissioners do not make decisions on based on data. Their personal opinions and biases are the primary elements in their decision making.2. There is no diversity in thought or opinion amongst…See More

Thank you fellow citizens

It was great to see such a large group of people outside city hall. A big thank you to each and every one of you. I especially liked the relay speech: a great idea.Having said that, the response from the mayor was very disappointing. He sat there, grinning, as if this were a big joke! He ended the…See More
