Dear all: The Fremont Fire Department's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will be having a Personal Emergency Preparation (PEP) Seminar on Monday April 11th from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at Room 104, Irvington High School (41800 Blacow Rd.) This class will cover steps to take before, during, and after a disaster, including utility control, hazard mitigation, and emergency supply preparation. A Concert for Haiti : Hosted by Irvington High's Music Club. at Thornton Avenue Baptist Church

February 15, 2010 from 7pm to 9pm
Dear all:As part of Making Music!'s goal to improve the community both locally and globally, we will be hosting a benefit concert to help aid those in need in the aftermath of the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. 我的英文writing不是很好,所以有一些想法請你轉達~感激不盡~

1.我認為我們現在的組織有點鬆散~是否可以找個跟我們一樣反對這個提案的議員,來帶領我們的各項活動?我不知道"曹葉雲 Steve Cho"是否反對此提案?
如果他也反對此提案,或許可請他幫忙(如果Steve有興趣再競選下任市長的話)
如果有個政治人物帶領這個組織,要募款的話~也比較會讓人信服~
也比較知道申訴管道

2.目前感覺,好像只有weibel小學這邊的居民在關注這件事情~~
是否可以把觸角延伸到warmspring小學那邊?
因為以後她們的小孩要中學,通勤勢必得經過這區,每天接小孩下學勢必得面對這個交通問題,或許是球場的距離離他們有點遠,所以他們感受沒有這麼深,但是這個問題"小孩上中學通勤的問題"或許可以讓他們有點危機意識~

3.能否也讓ZIP CODE 94538的居民了解交通不便造成的嚴重性?讓他們正視這個問題~因為94538 & 94539 這兩個區,剛好夾在680 & 880中間~ 下班不管走LOCAL或是高速公路.一定塞爆了~


4.在球場預定地旁邊就有好幾家公司,是否有人尋求過他們的協助?
homedepo的立場?Walmart的立場?Fry's的立場?其他公司的立場?
這些公司也是很靠近680 & 880,他們的員工和顧客是否願意花很多時間在塞車上?Costco 他們顧慮的問題,難道這些商家和公司都不怕嗎?
Pacific common那邊預定地,只因為少數幾家商家的反對,就可以改變A's的計畫~
warmspring這邊的商家跟公司也不少,難道他們都不在意??

5.或許可以找些志願者,假日的時候在一些supermarket前面發送傳單

6.在車窗上貼上抗議標語

7.有朋友建議,可以找些環境保護組織,例如保護學校聯盟等等.有些組織知道一些方法來對付一些只重營利的大財團...(不好意思,我剛來美國不久,對這些組織不熟)

8.聽說frement已經有超過50%的華裔選民,其中一個市議員-陳李素英,本身也是華裔,卻是支持此項提案的議員!
建議華裔選民一人一信,寄給陳李素英,讓他明白,
"如果因為此案通過,造成fremont治安變差,華裔選民必將搬離fremont,往後沒有華裔的支持,他還有機會選上下任的市議員嗎?"

上個星期四PROTEST結果,是讓A's的人認定我們只有500人,我們一定要想辦法扭轉他們這種錯誤的印象,我們一定要把人民給串聯起來~

我在想,我們這個組織不夠明確,如果有個強而有利的人來當頭,是否可以讓A's球隊感受到,我們是"認真的"! 才不會讓他們以為,反對的只有500人!

所以現在找個願意帶領我們的政治人物.是當務之急
