• Tesla and Toyota Partner at NUMMI - While Mayor Wasserman and the Fremont city council were saying that the A's stadium was the best deal Fremont could get, FCN and its two endorsed candidates, McDonald and Bacon, were strongly advocating for green manufacturing at the NUMMI site. • There is still no decision from MLB about Oakland A's new stadium location. Please join Facebook group: "No Stadium in Fremont" and send letter to MLB committee. Let MLB and the A's know there are still strong opposition in Fremont.
• FCN announced that Kathy McDonald resigned her post as President on Feb. 10th in order to spend more time researching what can be done to redirect our city to a more citizen friendly course. [read more...]

MLB is about to announce the decision on Oakland A's new stadium (in February), with possible sites in Oakland, San Jose or Fremont. While we are waiting, here are the updates from FCN steering committee:

• FCN will form a separate Political Action Committee (PAC) to support city council candidates in the November election. [read press release...]
• FCN has sent the "Wow Concepts Generator" letter to ask the city to explore different business opportunities for the land around NUMMI.
• Please join FCN's effort to send letter to MLB committee. Let MLB and the A's know there are still strong oppositions in Fremont.
