Comment by FCN Admin on January 24, 2010 at 9:39am: The Pro-A's rally is called by Saddlerack and the Chamber. Note, it is not really aimed at Fremont residents. It is a "Spaghetti Feed" per their own advertisements. So at this time, we are going to let those kids have their fun.

We are going to have a rally to raise awareness of the issues again and to show the Mayor and the City Manager that there is significant opposition to this plan from the tax paying citizens of Fremont. It does not matter if the pro-A's supporters can pack a spaghetti feed with people who aren't even going to be Fremont residents. We Fremonters have to take this seriously and come together yet once again to demonstrate that this plan does not suit Fremont as a city.

There are many ways to help put your point across:
1. Write to the Mayor and the City Council members
2. Write to the City Manager
3. Write to the News Papers (Argus, Mercury News, etc.)
4. Participate in discussions on this community website to provide your points of view as to why this is a bad idea for Fremont
5. Ask your neighbors and friends who live in Fremont to join FCN by signing up to this community site.

Comment by Larry in Irvington on January 23, 2010 at 7:46pm: I read there's going to be a pro A's stadium rally at the Saddlerack on Mon. 1/25 sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the mayor will be attending. Are there any plans to organize an anti-A's stadium rally to make sure MLB, the A's and media don't get the misguided impression that Fremont residents actually want this stadium? How can I help?
