More reasons to votes against Harrison and Naarajan

Please vote for Vinnie Bacon and Kathy McDonald.

I was recently in front of the Fremont City Council opposing a development of houses in a grave yard (Yes, they removed 251 bodies, now they will build houses on that land) near my home.  Like all of the neighbors that attended the hearing I was treated with contempt by the mayor and the council members.  At least the planning commission pretended to be interested in our arguments; they thanked us for our testimony and asked us some questions. 

The City Council did not even pretend to be interested in what we had to say.  After 4 minutes, “Your time is up.” No thank you, no questions.  Video of the meeting 10/12/10 is available on the city web site.  I volunteered to pay, with my own money, to prove that many bodies were left in the field.  This offer was totally ignored.  I handed out pictures of ducks on the site to prove that it was wetlands before they connected it to the drain on Bowers court.  This was totally ignored.  They discussed the wetlands issue with city staff and connecting the land to the drain was not mentioned.

Bill Harrison and Anu Natarajan voted with the mayor to approve the development in what was clearly a cemetery, was clearly wetlands, and probably has many bodies still buried.  (Go to www.fremontcemeteryhomes.com for the details and proof on this.)  Vote against Harrison and Natarajan, vote for Bacon and McDonald.
