The seeming personal distaste that this reporter exhibits for the FCN members is evident when he generalizes FCN members as motivated by "...NIMBY rage.." This comment is virtually identical to the Mayors characterization of FCN as "...a mob..."

What is unfortunate is that many who read these statements may indeed generalize who FCN is and how its members conduct themselves.
bbpx231,
I agree. The only thing that will change the perception is by what we do and how we do it. It will take time, but with deeds and actions, we can remove that perception soon. You might also consider writing to the reporter / the newspaper.
I think this is a case of a reporter repeating what others are saying in his summary of events. He one reporter who covered all of the stadium news all the way along and IMO was reasonably objective.
I think he's absolutly right., All he has to do is read what happened here to keep the A's out and he'll have all the ammo he needs to determint that the FCN is nothign but NIMBY rage. Misplaced NIMBY rage, I might add.

No matter what you all do to try to justify making it too hard to do business here for the A's, the fact remains, especially in light of the horrible unemployment here, that YOU, for your own NIMBY reasons kept millions of dollars in wages and revenue from coming to Fremont.

I for one beleive that FCN is a mob, and an anti-business, anti-growth, anti pretty much anything that doesn't involve them getting something for nothing.
